This track, ‘Phone’, keeps his progressive R&B style moving forward, with the inspiration from Frank Ocean and Andre 3000 seeping through the texture. The track opens up with quotes from various phone-related videos, before launching into a pitch-shifted main melody and a laid-back accompaniment. Squelching bass notes are pretty much the only thing supporting Rosa’s unique voice during the verses, while the choruses thicken the texture with warmth and catchiness.
